Is Jiku really free?+
Yes. The self-hosted edition is completely free and open source, with no user limits or license fees. A hosted cloud (SaaS) edition will also be available for those who prefer not to manage a server.
Where is my data stored?+
With the self-hosted edition, all data stays on your own server, in your own database. Nothing goes to a third-party cloud — a key advantage for GDPR and data-residency requirements.
Is it hard to install?+
No. With Docker Compose a single 'docker compose up' brings the app and database online in seconds. You can deploy it on an Ubuntu server in a few minutes.
Can I migrate from Clockify?+
Jiku is under active development; import/export and invoicing modules are on the roadmap. Custom migration support can also be provided for teams.
Is Jiku a Clockify clone?+
No. Clockify is the category leader and our reference point, but Jiku is an independent product built from scratch with a different promise: data sovereignty and freedom.
